I thought I would repost these hyena pups I put up in June from Kenya. I was lucky enough to come across a den in the Masai Mara. There were about 8 pups who were quite curious about us in the truck walking out of the bushes with their noses held high. The hyena lives in a family unit and when the mother goes off to hunt, one of the “aunts” will stay behind and keep a watchful eye on her brood. When the mother returns, the aunt will set off to hunt for herself.
