The Klipspringer or mbuzi mawi as it is known in Swahili, is a small antelope that lives in steep, rocky terrain. It is a very sturdy little guy that walks on the tips of truncated hooves–the antelope equivalent of walking on tip-toes. This one was hanging out behind my tent, which was situated right below some boulders.
