For a brief moment in the Casco the rain fell. It was just before sunset and lasted a very short time so I grabbed my camera and rain sleeve. This small old city has several religious buildings so it isn’t hard to look up and see crosses, saints, angels etc. Turns out these architectural artifacts are exactly where black vultures like to sit out a rainfall. As the light came up again they were all perched on the highest points in the city preening and shaking out their feathers.
