This is for my very dear friend who is saying goodbye to her Mom today. She is soaring around up there now Di and will live on in the hearts she left behind. xo

A crazy moment shooting a stellar jay…one minute he was munching on berries and hopping around, the next minute it just flattened itself on the ground and spread out wings and tail. Gorgeous. I think this might have been to warm itself as it was quite specific about lying in the sun. Bird friends, can you confirm this behavior?
