Same guy that was on my post this morning. This is kind of a poorly executed photo on many levels, but, it intrigues me. (Click for a bigger look.) I find it ethereal with the snow and the splashes of purple. I love that the feet of first duck and the back of the third duck are in focus-something for the left and right eye. What do I know? You decide….
Great White Egret week continues…and you should check out fatchance - he is whooping my white egret ass!
From my Great White Egret archive. (say that 5 times fast.)
Capturing birds in flight is a real challenge. This great white egret very suddenly came flying right towards me. I barely had time to swing the camera up but I managed to get off 6 shots…5 of them a great white blur. Just as I snapped this one, it crossed in front of the only patch of very surreal blue sky. Sometimes you just get lucky… and whisper a quiet thanks to your subject.
Is this anyway to treat the launch of GWEW? Seriously people-did you click and look at these pictures? It is an oriole missile sighting. Do I need to pshop in a cat in a cup…?
I get so moody when you people aren’t as excited as I am about something. And you know how cranky i can get…
To kick off Great White Egret Week (GWEW) a crazy oriole vs egret sequence! (By crazy I mean lucky) I was trying to swing up quickly enough to shoot this great white egret in flight. The oriole that was harassing him flew in and out of frame so fast I didn’t realize I captured him. He looks like a little missile in the second frame. (Click to expand-much better!)
