Lizardman, lizardman friendly neighborhood, Lizardman. Wealth and fame, he ignores, action is his reward. To him, life is a great big bang up…
Sometimes when I am in the field photographing I see things through the lens I would not ordinarily notice. I am always searching–scanning for surprises and revelations of wonder. It comes by way of an eye lash, shape of an appendage or ear tip, a deep blemish, a yawn, or some hidden bird or insect–it is one of my favourite things about shooting. I guess I am more interested in the “parts” than the whole. They fascinate and educate me. But sometimes I am so focused on one thing that I might be oblivious to something else. Take for instance this gorgeous, colourful lizard. I was so captivated by his greens and yellow, the posture in his chin and the way he held his head up, that tiny, black eye…imagine my surprise when I loaded him up on screen and realized while I was watching in wonder, he was POOPING! And, I might add, that is a pretty significant dropping for a lizard!
Some Tail for Today…
