Possibly an immature green-breasted mango. (But certainly correct me.) They are such shape-changers when they fly. Glorious.

Searching for the American bittern…damn tricky bird.

The strawberry poison dart frog (also called the blue-jeans) is the coolest little dude I have ever seen. I loved trying to track them down and got pretty muddy capturing this shot. He was about the size of Tylenol - but with teenie-tiny legs. So, not exactly a large subject to find in the jungle, but that colour sure helps! (Hand held with a 100m macro, f4, 1/250 ISO 6400, kneeling in mud.)

Incredible moment catching this rufous tailed hummingbird sitting in her nest. She builds the nest with moss, leaves and spiderwebs and covers the outside with lichen and bark. She will lay 2 eggs and will incubate them for about 15-18 days. Very special sighting!

Can someone help me identify this unknown froggie I photographed in the Bocas Del Toro archipelago in Panama? He was indeed strange looking and the only one I saw. At first it looked like his back legs had “melted” onto the leaf. He does have beautiful green eyes. (Click to enlarge) Anyone?
