Changing Perspective

I am often asked for tips on photographing wildlife and one thing I always advise is try to change your perspective. Here is an example of how very different a photo can look just be changing your camera position. These two shots were taken less than a minute apart with the same lighting. The first was taken from a tripod and the second one I was down on the ground leaning on my elbows, almost at eye level. Notice how different the light is, in particular the colours reflecting off the water. Just by getting a little down and dirty you can change the entire feeling of a photo.
